Santa Barbara SC Welcomes Andrew Montenegro

(SANTA BARBARA, CA) Central Coast Academy & Santa Barbara SC are excited to announce that Andrew Montenegro will be joining our team.  Andrew has over two decades of experience in coaching and leadership roles and will assist Greg Wilson, the current Director of Coaching and oversee the Girls Zone 2 (9v9 & 11v11) Director.

Andrew has an incredible wealth of knowledge and years of club level director and coaching experience.  He has spent the past 8+ years leading LAFC SoCal Youth (formerly Real SoCal) in the role of Girls 7v7 & 9v9 Program Director, assistant ECNL Director and ECNL staff coach. His club/high school background spans over two decades with LAFC, Real SoCal, Eagles SC and Newbury Park High School. In addition, he has had successful stints at the collegiate level with Cal Lutheran University & Oxnard college respectively.

As a player, Andrew Montenegro spent his collegiate playing years as a standout at California Lutheran University (NSCAA Academic All American) and the University of California, Davis.

Andrew is certified with a United States Soccer Federation “A” License Coach and holds a United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma. In addition, he holds his US Soccer Instructor Licenses and will be instrumental in supporting the club mission to provide education and growth to all of our recreation and competitive coaches.

 Andrew holds a B.A. in English from California Lutheran University and a Master’s of Science in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University
