History

Santa Barbara SC was formed in ______, becoming one of the first competitive soccer clubs in Santa Barbara. In efforts to unity the community and create one model for everyone, in 2008?the club merged with Real Santa Barbara. Teams from our club have won 4 National Championships and numerous Regional and State Titles. In 2017 Santa Barbara SC hired Director of Coaching, Gregory Wilson to take over and professionalize the club. Since, the club has implemented a club-wide curriculum, develop over 500 players in newly formed recreation programs, merged over 300 players from a parent club under one umbrella, advanced the elite platform with newly formed MLS Developmental Academy (boys) and Central Coast Elite (girls).  The overall club has now grown from 400 players and approximately 28 teams to over 650 players and 45 teams and a full-blown recreation league and developmental program of over 750 players.

The club has progressed and now boasts some of the most accomplished coaches and players in the country. The club continues to develop players and has boasted over 5 National Team players, 10 professional players and over 200 college soccer players to date.  Santa Barbara SC has developed and produced well-know players including Julian Araujo, Los Angeles Galaxy (MLS), Abu Danladi, MinnisotaUnited (MLS), Emma Boateng, DC United (MLS), Justin Vom Steeg (MLS & US National Team) and Kidi Pickett (National Championship at Stanford University).

Santa Barbara SC continues to be the Central Coasts number one youth soccer destination and progressive soccer club for youth of all ages and ability levels.
